“CPI and Social Security”

How are Social Security benefit levels adjusted to account for changes in the cost of living and how have those rules have played out in the last few years?  The talk will address this question and will also focus on the challenge of constructing price indexes that capture the inflation experience of any demographic group, with a particular application to the elderly.
