Consumer, Producer and Import/Export Prices: Current Challenges in Measuring Inflation” 

He will examine three measurement challenges faced by BLS in measuring inflation -- is globalization leading to overestimation of import inflation, real GDP and labor productivity; are health care price indexes overstating medical care inflation; and how can one measure the inflation experience of a targeted demographic group, such as the elderly?
