She will discuss an agenda for sustainable, inclusive and long term growth. Among other things, she will be focusing her remarks on investment-infrastructure, education, long-term capital gains, profit-sharing and women's labor force participation rates.
Laura D’Andrea Tyson is a Distinguished Professor of the Graduate School and Director of the Institute for Business and Social Impact at the Haas School of Business and the chair of the Board of Trustees of the Blum Center for Developing Economies at the University of California, Berkeley. She served as Dean of London Business School from 2002-2006, and as Dean of the Berkeley-Haas School from 1998-2001. Tyson was a member of the US Department of State Foreign Affairs Policy Board and a member of President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness and the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board. She served in the Clinton Administration as the Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers (1993-1995) and the President’s National Economic Adviser (1995 – 1996). Tyson is a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress and is on the Advisory Council of the Brookings Institution Hamilton Project. She is an Advisor to the Alliance for Competitive Taxation. She serves on the board of directors of AT&T, Silver Spring Networks, and CBRE Group Inc. She is the co-author of Leave No One Behind, a report for the United Nation’s High-Level Panel on Women’s Economic Empowerment.
Tyson is an economic advisor to the Hillary Clinton campaign.
