"Recession or Recovery?"

Mr. Harris will discuss three topics: (1) Triple Dip: in 2012, look for another soft patch (2) Europe: a recession, but how big? (3) Fed - more QE.

Ethan Harris is co-head of Global Economics Research at BofA Merrill Lynch Global Research. He is also responsible for formulating and communicating the North America economic outlook and the Fed interest rate call.   Harris was most recently ranked No.1 in the 2008 Wall Street Journal Economic Forecasting survey. He has also been named to the Institutional Investor All-America Fixed-Income Research Team for the past six years, placing No.2 in 2007. Previously, Harris worked at Barclays, formerly Lehman Brothers, where he was the chief U.S. Economist beginning in 2003. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers in 1996, Harris worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for nine years. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University, where he was a University Fellow.

Entrance to the parking garage is on E street. Address to parking garage is 616 E Street NW Washington 20004. (Carmine's is not affiliated with the parking garage.) The parking garage has an elevator entrance into Carmine's above. Valet parking is available Monday- Sunday after 5pm for $10 dollars.

.14 miles from Carmine's on Metro Stop Archives- Navy Memorial Penn Quarter 701 Pennsylvania Avenue Washington D.C. 20004- Come off the train and head north on 7th street NW toward D street NW. Carmine's is on the right.

.21 miles from Carmine's on metro stop Gallery PI- Chinatown 630 H Street NW Washington D.C 20001. Come off the train and use the 7th and F Streets/Verizon Center Exit and head south on 7th Street NW.  Carmine's is on the left.
